For several months now, works by Paolo Icaro in museums and public spaces have been covered by the artist himself, as a sign of mourning for Gaza.

"[...] Perhaps only silence can express both the pain and the indignation for what is happening in Gaza. Perhaps only the silence of mourning, which shares in the grief and unites in condemnation.
I have therefore decided, beyond any words, to silence and cover my works in public places — museums, institutions, foundations. I want them, in silence, to mourn.
[...] And so they will remain, until the horror of this genocide comes to an end."
