Lia Rumma Gallery presents Variantology, Agnieszka Kurant’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, on view from December 4, 2025 until February 28, 2026, featuring a selection of new and recent works.

Kurant’s multidisciplinary practice investigates collective and nonhuman intelligences, the future of labor and creativity, and the dynamics of digital capitalism. Through research-based works and collaborations with scientists, she creates complex systems in which biological, technological, and social agents interact, generating hybrid, unstable forms that evolve like living organisms.

Inspired by Siegfried Zielinski’s concept of Variantology, the exhibition explores alternative histories of technology and knowledge, linking deep past and possible futures. Naples plays a central role as a symbolic site where alchemy, technology, and collective imaginaries converge, highlighting how technological predictions recursively shape both present and future.
